As soon as you know when the gross power production meter will be installed, fill in the CertiQ application form (Verzoek tot Vaststelling). For information on meters contact your grid operator. You can see exactly which steps you need to follow to register with CertiQ here.
Probably not. Registration with CertiQ takes a few weeks, due to the checks carried out by your grid operator. You will not receive notice from us until the process is complete. If our response takes longer than 6 weeks, contact your grid operator. Note that grid operators cannot approve requests until the appropriate meters have been installed and they have has received the signed application form (Verzoek tot Vaststelling).
If you sign the registration form with DigiD it will be sent automatically to your regional grid operator. If you don't sign with DigiD, you should print out the form, sign it and send it to your grid operator by post.
The grid operator checks whether your generating plant matches the information you have provided, and whether the correct meters have been installed. If this is the case, the grid operator then approves your request and CertiQ finalizes your registration.
You have to register at CertiQ to receive the SDE+ subsidy. CertiQ registers your solar power plant and issues certificates for the green electricity you generate. You receive your subsidy from Agentschap NL on the basis of these certificates.
There are no annual membership costs for producers with an SDE+ subsidy for small-scale electricity generation from solar panels.
Each region has its own grid operator. You can find yours in the EAN codebook. You can then find his contact information in the grid operator overview.
A trader is an organization that trades in Guarantees of Origin. Anyone who meets the requirements can register as a trader. In practice most traders are energy suppliers. When energy suppliers provide green energy to users, they must cancel Guarantees of Origin at CertiQ.
The certificates CertiQ issues serve two purposes: they are the basis for subsidies and are proof for the market that the energy was produced sustainably. A trader can use the certificates to trade in sustainably generated energy.
Not every energy supplier chooses to act as a trader. It may be that your energy supplier is not on the list. Feel free to choose a different trader: there will be no consequences for your contract with the energy supplier or the amount of subsidy you receive.
The producer. When a production plant is registered, the producer designates a trader to receive the certificates.
The trader uses the certificates as proof of origin for renewable energy supplied to consumers. This is done by cancelling certificates at CertiQ.
CertiQ receives this information from your grid operator. If you feel these values are not correct, contact your grid operator.
CertiQ receives these figures from your grid operator. If you feel they are not correct, contact your grid operator. Please note: the figures given are averages. Your grid operator or measuring company will only read your meter once a year. The volumes given are the total power generated in MWh, divided by the number of months. This explains why the values are the same every month, although your actual production may well fluctuate over the year. But this doesn't matter, as long as the total is correct.

Generally once a year, by your grid operator or measuring company, unless you have made other arrangements.
The measuring company or grid operator will record the meter reading, either manually or automatically. Your grid operator then sends the data to CertiQ, using an automated system. This happens every month for plant meters that are read every month. For plants where the meter is read once a year, the reading for the year is sent in 12 equal portions. When the regional grid operator sends us the measured production volume, we issue certificates for that volume of production the same night. The certificates are then credited to the trader's account.
After receiving a positive decision from Agentschap NL, you can start installing the solar panels. Contact your grid operator for advice on installing the correct meters. When you know when the meters will be installed, you can register at CertiQ. You can review the necessary steps here.
There are three possible causes:
Agentschap NL will send it once it has a full calendar year of measurements. For more information contact Agentschap NL at sde@agentschapnl.nl or call 088 602 3450.
No, CertiQ will let Agentschap NL know you are registered as soon as your registration is definitive. This is done at the same time as we send you confirmation that you are now definitively registered.
CertiQ can't answer this question. For more information please contact Agentschap NL at sde@agentschapnl.nl or call 088 602 3450.

First you need to request an SDE+ subsidy from Agentschap NL. Once you have received a positive decision, register your plant with CertiQ. CertiQ issues certificates for the green electricity you generate. Once your registration at CertiQ is definitive, Agentschap NL will receive a message from CertiQ. Agentschap NL can then begin paying advances on the subsidy.
CertiQ certifies the green electricity from your solar panels and issues Guarantees of Origin in your name. These provide the proof needed for the subsidy. The certificates are generated in digital form, not actually printed.
If you are expanding your plant within your current approval for the SDE+ scheme, you need to re-register at CertiQ. You can find the necessary steps here. Where the total generating capacity needs to be entered, on page 5 of the application form (Verzoek tot Vaststelling), you fill in the new total generating capacity of your plant. On page 7, in the remarks section, state that you have expanded your plant. Your grid operator will review your form and check the information you have provided. Once everything is in order, your grid operator will approve your application and pass this information to CertiQ. You will receive a written confirmation at this point. Your new information will also be sent to Agentschap NL.
You must distinguish between the old and the new plant. When you have a second declaration of eligibility, you will need to register your second plant with CertiQ. Where the total generating capacity needs to be entered, on page 5 of the application form (Verzoek tot Vaststelling), you fill in the total generating capacity of your new plant. On page 7, in the remarks section, state that you have a second declaration of eligibility and have established a second plant. Your grid operator will review your request and check the information provided. When everything is in order, your new plant will be registered with CertiQ. You will receive confirmation.
In addition, you need to ensure that the gross power production from the new and the old plants can be measured separately. It is very likely that the two plants will attract subsidies at different rates. So you will need to install two gross production meters. Contact your grid operator for more information.
You should email a signed change of data form to us at servicedesk@certiq.nl. You can also send the information by post to: CertiQ, PO Box 718, 6800 AS, Arnhem, Netherlands. You will receive confirmation once we have processed the change.
Agentschap NL can let you know whether your contract can be transferred to the new owner. If this is possible, the new owner can take over your contract (participation agreement) with CertiQ. To do this you must fill in the change of data form, get both parties to sign it, and send it to CertiQ at servicedesk@certiq.nl. You can also mail it to us (at CertiQ, PO Box 718, 6800 AS, Arnhem). Once we have processed the change, you will receive confirmation that you have been removed from our register. The new owner will receive confirmation of registration and the new participation agreement. Don't forget to tell Agentschap NL you are moving.
First you must let Agentschap NL know you are moving. They have to approve you taking the subsidy with you. Then you re-register at CertiQ. You can view the necessary steps here. In the remarks section on page 7, state that you have moved and are taking your solar panels with you. Your grid operator will receive the registration form and will check the information. Once everything is in order, your grid operator will approve your application and let CertiQ know. You will receive confirmation at your new address.
If the previous owner received a subsidy and the plant is registered with CertiQ, you should ask Agentschap NL whether you can take over the subsidy (contact: sde@agentschapnl.nl or call 088 602 3450). Then, in consultation with the previous owner, you can take over the contract (participation agreement) with CertiQ. To do this, fill in the change of data form, get both parties to sign it and send it to CertiQ by e-mail (servicedesk@certiq.nl) or post (to CertiQ, PO Box 718, 6800 AS in Arnhem). You will receive confirmation and the new participation agreement once we have processed the change. The previous owner will receive confirmation of de-registration.
